The Herald - Fife knitter to spin a ripping yarn in solo Atlantic rowing adventure

A Fife knitting and yarn entrepreneur is set to row solo and unsupported 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean in a bid to raise money for charity.

Milli Abrams will take part in The World’s Toughest Row, an extreme endurance race from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to English Harbour in Antigua.

At just five feet tall, Ms Abrams is set to be one of the shortest – and lightest – people to have ever rowed across an ocean.

Ms Abrams will celebrate her 50th birthday at sea on January 31, 2026. She will be the fourth woman in her 50s to complete the row. She is the only solo female participant from the UK this year. The race will begin in December…
